Opportunities for Playwrights
Barron Spotlighters was pleased to be able to provide an opportunity for a local playwright to showcase his work (Final Intrusion), and
will certainly consider doing so again. Should anyone who reads this have a show they have written that they’d like the group to review
and consider, feel free to submit it to Barron Spotlighters, 800 Memorial Drive, Barron, WI 54812.
CHILDREN'S THEATRE CAMP
All youth grades 2 through 8 are eligible for the full camp which runs Monday-Friday, August 2-6 and 9-13 from 10 am to 3 pm at the Barron Area Community Center. Additionally there is a mini-camp for children entering grades K-2 Wednesday-Friday, August 11-13 from noon to 3 pm. The cost for the full camp is $35 with a discount for siblings, and $10 for the mini camp. Additionally there is a performance on August 14.
Attendees will participate in the play "The Brementown Musicians". In addition, they will make a model set and complete other projects as they explore various elements of theatre. Children will help create props, sets and costumes and be taught acting skills and play theatre games.
